There is something serene about looking onto a salty marsh area. Depending on low or high tide marshes can look so different. This is a representation of the South Carolina marsh area where I live.
This piece took me over a month to produce. As I tried and failed many times trying to get the colors just the way I saw them. Green grasses are more difficult to paint than you'd think. I'm still learning and growing in my ability to paint many "low country" scenes. I felt this painting to date is my best effort.
I painted on Arches 300 lbs hot press paper with edges torn from maker and framed floating the piece on a matte.
